Happy 5,000th edit! :) Have some cookies...er... biscuits(?)! P.S. Your talk page is at 68k-- when are you going to archive this guy? ;)

Some cookies for Ballista; enjoy!

Thanks for the barnstar... you know, I'm starting to feel a bit guilty for accepting so many of thse barnstars from you, especially as many of these recent edits have been incredibly minor... I do thank you nonetheless. --Firsfron of Ronchester 08:04, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You asked "What's with the guilt thing?" Well... I feel you're a bit underappreciated, in terms of barnstars. And then you go and give me another one, when my recent edits have all been really minor. That's all. Anyway, happy editing, and enjoy the cookies/biscuits. :) --Firsfron of Ronchester 08:34, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dinosaur articles

[edit]

Hi - now that you're an admin, I can bother you with this legitimately. How do we work out if there are any other dinos who do not have the word 'dinosaur' on their page? (just today found that Tuojiangosaurus was without). Finding those that do is easy enough, on AWB but finding those without ....? I suppose we could ask AWB for a list of dinos and compare that with the project's list? Bit laborious, though. - Ballista 17:20, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Ballista!
No, no bother at all. Here's what I'd do. You could use the 'What Links Here' tool, but it would be painfully long. Use the special settings on AWB and it will take a half hour to churn thru the entire list.
Here's what you do:
1st tab: Make List: Make from… “Links on Page” and in the white box, type: List of dinosaurs. This will make a list which contains every dinosaur on the List of dinosaurs page.
2nd tab: Set Options. Check the box marked “Skip if contains”, in the white box, type: dinosaur . This will cause AWB to skip any page that already contains the word dinosaur, and move on to the next article.
3rd tab: Click “Start the process”. This will start the process.
I'm here all day, so if you have any more questions, or it just doesn't work, let me know. :) --Firsfron of Ronchester 17:37, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SuggestBot feedback

[edit]

Thanks for the detailed feedback on the suggestions it has made. The most interesting thing I noticed is that you were pretty frustrated with some articles that people have strong POV on. I'm not sure what to do about that, but it was an interesting thing to notice. Any higher-level feedback you can think of to make it better? -- ForteTuba 21:36, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Ballista!

Thanks for the mouldy sandwich award! Tres chic! I'll stick it in the back of my fridge and treasure it always. ;) Your lovely award has reminded me I've been meaning to give you something, too! Here you are...

Now we have nearly matching awards, and we can display them proudly; yours on the mantlepiece, mine on the refridgerator shelf, hidden behind last week's leftovers and that brown stuff from Veteran's Day. :)

Happy editing! --Firsfron of Ronchester 06:41, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to hear it's touched the spot - ref. your fridge, do you mean the brown thing that's liquefied & is now seeping out the bottom left corner of the door? - Ballista 06:57, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, the other brown stuff; you're talking about the Labo(u)r Day leftovers. ;)--Firsfron of Ronchester 07:01, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! I see you over there, picking at my sandwich! You may want to think twice about eating any (although it does have plenty of Penicillin...)--Firsfron of Ronchester 07:46, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK? Yes I am... Thanks!

[edit]

Yes, I'm REALLY OK! And I'm active for wikipedia too, but outside it. I studied laminitis - and I'm almost discouraged.. I just published yesterday a long article about wikipedia on The Horse's Hoof (a barefooters technical web magazine) and I hope, many experts will come and take a look about horse topics into wiki (and perhaps they'll give some effective contribution too!).

Take a look to http://it.geocities.com/alex_brollo/wikipedia.pdf for a copy of my article. Thanks for subscribing into it.wiki too!

UPDATE: I saw an enormous work by you about Horse hoof... thanks! What about deleting the warning tag? I promise... I'll work only on it.wiki from now... :-(

Hi Ballista! Thanks for signing up for participation in so many Task Forces! It will take some time before we start with that, but as of now you are the only member of the French Cars Task Force, so perhaps you might be interested in cooperating on the Simca Vedette article I've just started. See the article's talk page for more details. Regards, Bravada, talk - 02:09, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, given my "expertise", you can probably call yourself the Master of All Simcas :D Not that much expertise is needed as of now, just some Wikimanpower to transfer everything that Hektor took out from the book to the article, find more sources (even in obscure languages, I will find translators somehow) and, first and foremost, copyedit the monstrosity that I created in lieu of the article - which as a native speaker you can do wonderfully. Bravada, talk - 22:37, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again! The Vedette was just surprisingly promoted to GA, so I believe we need to bring it up to snuff ASAP. I believe you could help a lot here as a native English speaker with immaculate language skills (you don't refer to them that way in English, do you?) The current text is currently mostly commited by me, and I was focusing on containing all the facts in it rather than writing in good style. As a person yet not involved in editing this article, you could probably have a fresh look at it and try to make it much more "readable". Feel free to make far-reaching changes to the structure (I am dissatisfied the most with the lousy summary section and long paragraphs). In case you are not sure what footnotes pertains to what pieces of info, I will gladly rearrange them later on. Thanks in advance for considering devoting your time to that! Bravada, talk - 20:46, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PS. Did I mention that "pushy" is my middle name?
Thank you! I am totally inobjective in judging this article, so I really don't know what to think about it, but I tend to agree with the people who say the summary is not the best. I have seen you have only done some more minor changes, but could I ask you to write a summary (you know, in the spirit of some authors asking important personae to write introductions to their books :D ) once the article finally gets expanded by the Brazilian stuff? Bravada, talk - 10:42, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PS. Only when I saw the page today again I realized what actually happened :D Well, here goes my delayed punishment for pestering innocent users :D I removed most italicizations and reinstated bold type you removed when copyediting. Perhaps you don't like it that way, but the standard is (or actually I don't what is written in the standards at the moment because they are a mess, but anyway the "common law" is) to put all the names under which the model was sold and major versions/trim levels in bold type when introduced for the first time and then in standard type. Italics are used for foreign/proper names such as engine/component names (e.g. the Zenith carburettor or Vistadome roof in case of the Vedette). I know this might seem vague, but I can see some logic in it. Regards, Bravada, talk - 01:07, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Excuse me for being ... but this is actually "your" system too, as you are a member of the WikiProject Automobiles as well. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Automobiles/Conventions#Names of variants and other models, as well as the general Wikipedia Manual of Style concerning italics. What do the bolds do for the article? Well, all the names of the articles that redirect here are bolded when used first. For example, some users might be looking for the Simca Chambord, but when they type that in they get transferred to Simca Vedette. Then they can quickly skim the article for Simca Chambord (which is easier to find when emphasized) and as it is close to the first use in the article, read an explanation on why they got transferred there.
This might, perhaps, be the conflict of interest between making the article read better from the beginning to the end (though I have no problem with the bold type, I actually like the way it emphasizes "something important") and the interests of many readers (including myself) who tend to look for some fragments and bits of info in the articles and rarely read them in the entirety in one sitting. That said, I'd just abide by the standard, and if you think it would be favorable to change, do propose so! Bravada, talk - 10:09, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ballista, this picture definitely is from Switzerland, and the picture was taken in the de:Grün 80 park. This park is located near Basel. I visit this park every other week or so... regards, --Keimzelle 17:58, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Velociraptor photo?

[edit]

Hi, thanks for your comment on my talk page regarding the photo Image:Buitreraptor-velociraptor.jpg. However, I noticed that the image was removed from the Velociraptor page by User:Dragon Helm with the comment "image is not velociraptor". If the skeleton in the background is indeed not a velociraptor, then my memory must be playing tricks with me; any help in identifying it would be welcome. Hi there. Well there's timing. I've been meaning to put a bit in Lyme Regis about Mrs Coade for a while - and there you go creating an article on her! Just one Q: how do we spell her name? The Philpot Museum in Lyme gives Elinor, as you know, and I'm tempted to think they should know. But... JackyR | Talk 12:42, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand, this seems even more unlikely to be wrong, unless Amazon staff made a mistake in transcription. *sigh* JackyR | Talk 14:11, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes you're quite right, that's obviously how to do it. I'd hoped when I first looked at this that one version was simply a mistake from a single source, but it looks like both have extensive usage. I dunno, even that Shakspear bloke could never spell his name right... ;-) JackyR | Talk 16:32, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there Ballista. I noticed that the photo you uploaded of the 'polished' ammonite paving infront of the philpot museum (on the list of ammonites page) are not genuine fossils as your picture caption implies, they are artificial. I think I remember reading a display in the museum describing how they were made.

Matt —Preceding unsigned comment added by Richardleaky (talkcontribs) 13:05, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Inline references doing funny things

[edit]

I have been having problems with inline refs this past few days where they somehow double up on themselves and are numbered twice or incorrectly down the bottom. It seems to rectify after 24 hours. Not sure what is going on... Cas Liber 12:14, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note~ I'm catching what appears to be a severe cold. Other than that, I'm fine. How are you? :) Firsfron of Ronchester 03:49, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What's keeping you busy in real life? As for me, the Adminship goes fine, but that hasn't really kept me busy: it's the second week of classes/work, and it's been a hectic two weeks. Things are finally slowing down, though. But now I've contracted Malaria or something... :/ Firsfron of Ronchester 03:57, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Don't think I'm an idiot, but what does "setting exams, marking exams" mean? Creating and grading exams? And (another dumb one) what holiday is it there? Firsfron of Ronchester 04:13, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I never knew you were a teacher. That's cool. It's funny, you can "know" someone for months, here, but really never know a thing about him. I hope that, despite the business nature of your trip, that you have a good vac-- er... holiday. Firsfron of Ronchester 04:26, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I'm a student, so I get vacation whenever classes aren't in session. So, three weeks ago, I had one, and eight weeks before that, I had another one. The college I attend has a very short summer session, and two long spring/autumn terms. I promise I'll get back to dinosaur articles, just as soon as things settle down around here. I miss working on them. Firsfron of Ronchester 04:45, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Heh! Yes, well, I was "translating" for you. ;) Actually, we do use the word "Autumn", it's just not as common as "Fall". Firsfron of Ronchester 04:57, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ballista

Thank you for improving my edits on the Gog Magog Downs' article grammarwise. Like you I love the English language and it's good to read that you know how to deal with little but important things like commas etc. If you ever need to know anything concerning Dutch words or Dutch grammar please don't hesitate to ask as it would be my pleasure to help out,

Polls:

[edit]

Hi. I'm just sending out a message for a new study I will be undertaking soon. It will involve surveys & polls to gather information & trends of editors on Wikipedia & other subjects. The data gathering will involve yourself recieving a questionaire on your talk page for you to fill out. I will then collect your questionaire & combine it with data from other editors. If you would like to be a part of this experiment, or know of someone who does, place a "Yes" or "No" below this message. Remember, it's only for fun & you can choose not to fill out all or parts of your questionaire once they arrive. Have a nice day... -- Spawn Man 05:48, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bambiraptor-head.1.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

Disclaimer

Hi everyone. If this is your first time filling out a survey, read this. To fill out a questionaire sheet, simply send me a post to my talk page, clearly stating your choice for each answer. For example: For Question 1, you might choose to place on the message, "Q1: A)" or "Question 1: Choice A." etc etc. It's up to you, as long as I get the general jist of what your choices are. You have around 1 week to return a survey sheet, but late entrie's will be accepted.

Remember however, your personal choices may be read whilst they are on my talk page. I will understand if you don't wish to answer some or all of the survey due to this. For this reason I have also placed an "Abstain" choice for each question. Try & answer truthfully, or don't answer at all if you can't.

However, your personal choices will not be expressed on the survey's outcome, instead it will be part of a larger finding, such as "60% of people eat chocolate, 25% never eat chocolate & 5% of people chose to abstain from answering..." I will never say, "90% of people eat chocolate, while only Fruityman said he didn't..." This would be an invasion of privacy. However, if a question has (Please explain) or (Please elaborate) as a choice, your specific answer may be used in the survey outcome, although your name will not be. If a question does not have (Please explain) as a question choice, but your intended choice is not represented on the choice list, then feel free to provide another choice which fits your description.

K&A locks

[edit]

I saw your edit on the K&A Canal & Sulhamstead. I hope it's Ok I've reused one of your picks on Tyle Mill Lock. I've been doing articles on some of the locks following a boat trip a few weeks ago - but I started from Bristol end see Locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal, any helkp adice/photos etc would be welcome. — Rod talk 12:56, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Handbag, shoes, and matching skull

[edit]

I kind of liked the handbag and shoes. ;) Seriously, good catch. Firsfron of Ronchester 07:50, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good work on all those articles, B! I'm having trouble keeping up with you! :) Firsfron of Ronchester 08:26, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What's the problem? Can I help? It doesn't seem obvious from the current edits. Firsfron of Ronchester 08:32, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Seems like a good start for a stub article. No problems here. :) Firsfron of Ronchester 09:11, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, I hadn't noticed all your fixes to the Nemegt articles, until you pointed it out. Nice work! Looks a lot better, IMO. We really don't need that many seperate articles. I started working on the titanosaur articles you'd recently worked on, but you did more than I'll be able to do tonight. I'm off to bed in a little while, as it's frightfully late here, and will work on them more tomorrow, but thanks for all the fixes; as usual, well done. :) Firsfron of Ronchester 09:26, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome

[edit]

This was one of my busiest summers ever (second only to last year). I had a flurry of work I had to get done in the last month or so and I also wanted to spend a lot of time with my girlfriend as she will be gone for the next 9 months. I couldn't really commit myself to any big projects here as I didn't really have the time. But summer is over, my girl is off at school, and consequently I have a lot more free time. So I expect I will be making a comeback. Sheep81 09:11, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're probably getting bored reading all of this so I'll wrap up. To see outcomes of the results, see my Polls subpage. Feel free to comment on anything! Feedback is always welcome. Most importantly, have fun. Topics will vary greatly & surveys may be resent out at later times to re-assess a consensus if survey numbers have grown significantly. If you know anyone who would be interested in these surveys, send them to my talk page or if you see this survey sheet, send your own answers in! Thanks. -- Spawn Man.

Abelisaurus

[edit]

Not a problem, you have cleaned up after me dozens of times. :) Sheep81 22:07, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I had put the images in sort of taxonomic order, from a psittacosaur to a full-blown ceratopsid, so readers could clearly see the changes that took place over millions of years. Alpha order also makes sense though. What do you think is best? Sheep81 08:01, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I actually like your picture better than the skull drawing (which can be removed if you like, or moved to a different section). I didn't even know we had that picture to work with. The Triceratops image is a life model too, not a skeleton, by the way. So it's actually 2 vs. 1 in favor of your image. I would love to have a picture of a fleshed-out Protoceratops to go with them instead of the skeleton (although that is a great picture too). As far as the images you placed on my talk page... the second skeleton actually looks better than the one at the bottom of the Psittacosaurus page, in my opinion. Only thing is that you can't really see the head. Maybe they should both go on the Psittacosaurus page somewhere? Sheep81 05:11, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well there's a simple solution: just Photoshop the cartoon head onto the skeleton. Who will be able to tell? :) Sheep81 05:35, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Do what you can... you have already gotten a ton of great pictures for us. How do the pictures look now? I messed with the captions per your suggestion. Is that what you had in mind? Sheep81 05:44, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi guys, the only thing I thought was to spread around images with different ones on different pages - are there enough good ones for this? eg. triceratops cheers.Cas Liber 06:26, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, I guess it's late cause I don't understand whether you want the pictures to be spread around on the Ceratopsia page or on different pages?Sheep81 06:36, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Glad you like it... that wasn't too hard to fix up. By the way, I just wrote something new which I'm sure you'll be only too happy to copyedit. I am anxious find out what horrific comma-related offenses I have perpetrated on the English language! Sheep81 06:36, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, what I meant was, given that we have a few Triceratops images, then we can split them between pages - eg image 1 and 2 on speceis page and 3 and 4 on family page etc. Will have a lok tonight. Wikipedia is painfully slow at work........Cas Liber 08:55, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm, there aren't as many different images on Wiki commons as I thought. See how I got a different triceratops image not used elsewhere. Looks a bit dull as a thumb but has nice detail.Cas Liber 11:01, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Greek symbols

[edit]

Hey man, quick question. I noticed you have italicized the Greek characters in some articles. This is not a problem, I don't actually care how they are presented, but I do think they should be the same across most articles... in some cases they are bold, others they are italicized, others they are plain text. Which do you think is best? Do you think having the Greek characters is even worth it? Sheep81 21:24, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the halo!

Thanks! :) I also weighed in on the Greek characters discussion, BTW. Firsfron of Ronchester 04:50, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked?

[edit]

Just as a note, your answer to the first survey question: Have you ever been blocked from editing Wikipedia? You answered yes. However, upon inspection of your block logs, you have never been blocked. Do you want me to keep your original answer? If you don't answer before I release the original survey's results tomorrow, I will assume that you want me to keep the original answer. Thanks Ballista! Spawn Man 02:00, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ballista? Blocked? Heheh! It must have been a typo. Firsfron of Ronchester 02:13, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No Ballista, I meant from the 1st survey, not the second. I already have your answers from the 2nd survey. I also have your 1st survey answers. But I'm guessing by your reaction that, no, you haven't been blocked & it musta been a typo. Have a nice day. :) Spawn Man 03:08, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Phalanx/Phalanges

[edit]

Well I changed what you wrote because "one fewer phalanges" is grammatically incorrect. But it was better than what I had written... apparently I forgot that phalanx is the singular form when I first wrote it... I think I had "one fewer phalange" which apparently was referring to some Lebanese resistance movement. A little off topic huh? I agree the wording is awkward and needs to be fixed... just not sure how yet. A couple problems with your suggestion... for one, it wouldn't be the number of phalanges in the fourth and fifth digits of the forelimbs was reduced from three to two... it would be the number of phalanges in the fourth digit of the forelimb was reduced from three to two and the number of phalanges in the fifth digit of the forelimb was reduced from two to one. Another problem with that sentence is that it makes it sound like Abrictosaurus is more derived than Heterodontosaurus. The problem is that there is really no baseline digit formula to compare it to. What is the primitive state for Ornithischia? In Lesothosaurus the digit formula is 2-3-4-3-1. In Hexinlusaurus it is 2-3-4-2-2. In Abrictosaurus it is 2-3-4-2-1 and in Heterodontosaurus it is 2-3-4-3-2. Those fourth and fifth digits are just highly variable and it isn't possible to say whether the number of phalanges is reduced in Abrictosaurus or if there are extra ones in Heterodontosaurus (or both).

What if we just used "bone" instead of "phalanx" in the original sentence? Like one fewer bone in both the fourth and fifth digits of the forelimb. Does that make it any simpler? Or can you rearrange your suggestion to make it more accurate? Or make an entirely new one? Sheep81 07:50, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Automobiles Notification

[edit]

Hi Ballista, you were on the list of members at WikiProject Automobiles and we are introducing a new way of listing members, as the old list was becoming too long. Our new method involves having all of our members in a category.

To add yourself to the category just add the userbox to your user page by putting {{Wiki Auto Project}} where you want the userbox. Alternatively if you don't like the userbox you can add [[Category:WikiProject Automobiles members|Ballista]] to your userpage.

If you no longer wish to be a member of the project, simply don't add the userbox or category, there's no pressure. Thanks for your time, James086Talk | Contribs 04:55, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Homeopathy

[edit]

Hey, I just finished a rewrite draft of the Homeopathy article. The article has major problems and I'm trying to turn it into a featured article and I noticed you were an editor of related articles or sub articles, so I thought you might want to help. The draft is a rough approximation of what it should be like. It obviously has some flaws in it's format and wording right now but they will be kinked out within the next couple of days. Right now what I want is for you, if you're interested in helping to improve the article, to come to the articles talk page. I'm trying to get all of the articles major contributors to discuss the rough draft and hack out a consensus so that we can replace it with the current article. There we will all discuss the article and how it could be improved before we replace the current homeopathy article with it. In order for this to work we need to follow a few rules. The first rule, the most important rule, is that no one but me can edit the rough draft. Do not edit the rough draft. This precaution is used to prevent edit warring and loss or addition of information that might not be up to consensus. Don't worry, It's just a draft and you'll have all the time you want to make changes after we've replaced it with the current article. The second rule is that all proposed changes in the rough draft must be made on the talk page of the rough draft and must be clear and concise. At that point anyone involved will discuss the proposed changes and if agreed by consensus they will be implemented. We will do that until there is no disputes or disagreements. After all disputes are hammered out, we will replace the homeopathy article with the rough draft. At that point there shouldn't be anyone needing to make huge edits, and if you do see an edit that you want to make, be sure to add a note on the talk page PRIOR to making the edit so that consensus can be reached and then you should make the edit. If you have any questions you can leave me a message on my talk page. Here is the link to the rough draft Link to rough draft. Thanks. Wikidudeman (talk) 08:59, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi Ballista, I am looking for the source of the Coade Stone formula. While reviewing the history of the Coade Stone site I noticed that you entered the formula to the page. It would be great to hear from you. Daniela —Preceding unsigned comment added by Branch07 (talkcontribs) 17:36, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Timbrevoiedelaliberte.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Timbrevoiedelaliberte.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:22, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've noticed that this image contributed by you has been used in Inner Mongolia Museum, while the relationship was not specified in the image's description page. Was this picture taken by you in that museum, or it's from some other source? Thanks. --Mongol (talk) 23:38, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An exciting opportunity to improve yourself!

[edit]

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 05:54, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
